Given its remarkable location between two of the city’s most important cultural and lifestyle destinations, McCombs saw an opportunity to create something extraordinary: a vibrant new district for San Antonio connecting art, culture, shopping, and dining all along the river’s edge. The vision for Jones Ave is to transform this underutilized stretch of waterfront into a bespoke riverfront destination that complements its celebrated neighbors while creating an identity all its own. Thoughtfully designed buildings, pathways, gardens and riverscapes will encourage exploration, connect visitors to the river and create a natural link between the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Pearl. Scheduled to arrive in 2028, Jones Ave. is more than another McCombs real estate investment. It is an investment in the continued evolution of San Antonio — bringing people together, strengthening the urban core and creating an enduring destination along one of the city’s greatest assets: the San Antonio River. It is, as the project’s vision describes it, an investment in the “soul of San Antonio.”
